REVISED: How Our Words May Tie in with Self-Esteem and Dr. Branden
I present in this “blog” post, a ten-part video set, on Words, and their tie to SELF-ESTEEM, and the ideas of Dr. Nathaniel Branden, who did much pioneering work in self-esteem.
A few mentions, before the ten videos:
Dr. Nathaniel Branden was a groundbreaking psychologist, some say.
Born in Canada, he came to the U.S. when he was nineteen, to study psychology.
He obtained his Ph.D. from the California Graduate Institute in 1973. At that time, it was an unaccredited, yet state-approved school whose graduates were thus legally permitted to be licensed by the state of California, to practice psychology.
He also garnered views from extensive study of philosophy, before he spent much of his time in the study of psychology.
Additionally, he gained many ideas from his study of the ideas of Ayn Rand, whom he met shortly after arriving in California, and after having first written her and spoken with her on the phone. Rand was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and came to the U.S. when she was 21, and was almost 25 years more of age than he was…
I have studied the works of Dr. Branden for forty years. I have many of his books.
The video talks below, discuss my ideas on words as SYMBOLS – LOGIC symbols, to be more precise – and I also discuss some key points about Dr. Branden, Ayn Rand, and much, much more.

More than a few of my ideas on words are a result of having grown up largely WITHOUT words, for my first five years of life, given that my grandmother raised me during those years – as far as my “awake” time is concerned. She spoke no English at that time, and did not speak her native German and Polish languages with myself. Additionally, her husband – my maternal grandfather – spoke very little English: his original language was Ukrainian, having been born in Odessa, Ukraine.
Below is a map of Poland, where my biological mother and my grandmother were born. They lived in LUBELSKIE province. Within Lubelskie, below, one can see the village of CHELM, which is where my grandmother was born; my mother, in turn, was born in the village of Piaski, a few miles apart from Chelm…
I conclude by mentioning the benefits of Nature, upon my thinking in many areas.
For instance, I spent four years, starting at the age of 41, studying Mathematics, in-depth, and also started the first of my fifteen years of SuperMemo software, about ten miles from this location below.
